Since 1979, God has built Willis Baptist Church through the faithful ministry of Pastor and Mrs. McKinnies — from a small group of 26 servants to the church family on Bunton Road today.
- 1979 — Pastor and Mrs. McKinnies arrive at the Meridian Street church with 26 faithful servants from Yost Baptist Church of Milan, MI.
- 1999 — As the church outgrows its building, the present facility on Bunton Road is built.
- October 2019 — The church marks 40 years of ministry, and a Doctor of Divinity is conferred upon Dr. McKinnies.
- Through the years — Faithful gospel preaching, soulwinning, and pastoral care. To God be the glory.
